Just got a note from Air Resources Board advising me that there are new laws in CA that clicked in last month.
My truck with GCWV at 15,000 lb is exempt from smog requirements, but I was informed that my engine will be forbidden on CA roads by the year...

Does it have to do with the truck turning 20 years old? What if you bought a used motor from a 2009 in 2019? Would that work since it would only be a 10 year old motor? A lot can happen between now and then, so they might change it by then... .

Since the new ignitor was installed, it runs much smoother .
(It had a little hesitation at a certain rpm and on hard acceleration not cured by a new MCS.)

Those states are Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts....
One of the reasons I moved away from that state! Cali blows! b ! Just heard on a news report that this may not stay in California, 10 other states are looking at adopting this standard as well .
