I wonder if the additional revenue received from hauling one of the most polluting fuel sources known to mankind will be enough of an economic bump for BNSF to counter increasing expenses related to more and more severe weather phenomenon... .

Is handled by Burlington Northern Santa Fe LLC which just happens to be a unit of Warren Buffetts like Long Beach, CA and the western railroads(like Buffet's Burlington Northern) that carry more than.

Buffett is no idiot....
I think rail is a winner by default rather than design and truly believe that opposition to Keystone has slightly misrepresented, there is a significant opposition from downstream refiners (legal and contractual issues) and landowners .
