I think....
You should have a Default zone, open that and you will be able to pick your authentication type .
Once there, look for Authentication Providers, under Application Security.
In Central Administration, you need to go into the Application Management .

I have used Lavasoft Ad-Aware for ages.
Lately it seems as if it is useless.
I get better results using SpyBot and SuperAntiSpyware
In fact Lavasoft Ad-Aware catches literally nothing
Both of the above are excellent even though SuoerAntiSpyware catches...

I'm not surprised people stopped using Ad-AwareI agree with you here .
Aware 2007 - the next few versions weren't much better.
