American Standard Freedom 80 Circuit Board.
Does the circuit board control the 24 volts to the contactor on the air conditioner?

Is ground different from neutral? How many amps will kill you? Is your air conditioner 240V or 120.

Hi all!
I've got a room. NO windows. MANY computers (well OK, 8, but hope to go higher, think big BOINC farm). Even with good air cooling on each proc, the whole room gets to hot.
What to do?
I've seen "portable air conditioners" that have dehumidifiers...

OK, I understand that air conditioner doesn't create somehow heat up the hole room the same way the hot air from the air conditioner would?
Thanks! Yes a room does an 8000 BTU....
Some of the heat generated by the AC unit.

I have a dealer installed air conditioner in my 79 bronco. Does anyone know how much freon it takes. I have put 3 cans plus a little can of oil. It blows about 43 degrees. There is no bubbles in the sight glass but it does not drip water out of the hoses...

What is your low side pressure when the vent shows 43 degrees? What is your high side ... .
There is more to charging an ac system than just vent temp....especially with an expansion valve type system .
What refrigerant? With Wal-Mart gages I assume R-134a.

We hit a log last year and it broke the grates on my Perko one piece thru-hull/scoop strainer for the air conditioner. I have removed the strainer assembly and it was quite a chore.
Since this could likely happen again and taking the whole assembly out...

Thanks Capt Bill1,
Regarding slots on the back, the existing is considered a high speed scoop... .
Just make sure the back end of the stainer is slotted too so it doesn't act as a scoop when water passes over it .
I've used them and can see no problem with it .

I sure hope I am posting in the correct forum. I have scoured all of the boards, but I am at a loss!
My young adult dog has just discovered how to lift and aim! His target is the air conditioner unit that is on the patio. Gah! I can't catch him doing ...

But, this is a 'vertical' target thing, he does not care or know it is the A/C unit, it is ANY ... .
Talkingrose!
I hear you! If the dog is a heavier larger dog, of course his aim is going to be longer and more of the liquid will get sent in one direction .
