Great as a fan in summer.

I am just wondering about Ionic type air purifiers.
Would these have any effect on BB's at all? Repel? Attract? They wouldn't care?
I am considering getting one due to allergies and chemical sensitivies.
Also, if you use DE could the machine "disturb"...

Will an ionic or HEPA air purifier prevent the buildup of dust on furniture and reduce the need for vacuuming? My understanding is ionic purifiers will cause airborne particles to be drawn to walls and the floor, so that may make the issue worse. What...

Overall, I haven't noticed a huge reduction in dust buildup, though there is some .
We've used HEPA purifiers for over a year now mainly to reduce allergens that affect my husband, such as cedar pollen and cat dander .

Aside from major health concerns such as severe asthma or emphysema (SP?) I'd say... .
As an HVAC guy myself, I tend to agree with your HVAC guy .
But, from my experience they do fail two to three times faster than the rest of the system .
Yes, they do work.

The purifiers that actually work, cost $$$
While shots costs less, and will also work outside your home .
Go to an allergy Dr and let them run a few test, then get a shot and send me the money you save .
