Last year (or maybe the year before) on Spring Watch they showed a bee move a Barn Owl out of a nest box! Poor Bluetits, but thats life I guess! The bumbles are more at risk than the bluetits . I think the bees will win.

I would leave well enough alone. If the adults are still visiting the box where the nest is, it may not be abandoned .
