As there has been a change over to digital services in Bulgaria, If I buy a new digital tv, will I be able to receive any channels free to air without a subscription the same as in Ireland and England?

Sounds a little like sky tv in England and you dont get that for free , In England you get BBC, UTV, Channel 4 + 5, BBC News, Sky News, E4 etc free to air.

Why not try plugging the lead into the virgin box and then into your VCR directly and missing out ... .
If youre recording from your TV as a pose to you Virgin box you may have the volumes turn down on the TV...
Not be pushed all the way in.
