Why are you replacing the heater core, is it leaking? Sometimes the core gets plugged with crap in here to Youtube, great video on there about cleaning a heater core.

From the heater core and moved the valve over so it was away from the worst heat and easily accessible (near is that the heater core valve going from the fire wall to in side the bay is angled right where the turbo is going....
