Hi all
new here, looking for some diagrams on how to replace the heater core in my 2003 745i. hard to choke down the 1830.60 in labor to replace a part that cost only 190.00. any help out there is much appreciated.

My mechanic says that my heater core is broken. But from what I understand is that when a heater core is broken the coolant leaks into the car, but my coolant is leaking from middle under the car. is this common too?

Any clue wat that might be?? not your heater core the wall (heater core lines) over time they get old and crack and break, i just did mine was easy as heck mine Keith....
The engine and thats where the coolant is leaking from .

It's pretty grimy stuff, someone coolant by completely....
The heater core to be purged out of everything, block, radiator, and heater core.
Lose-lose situation.
In Indiana and holy crap, too cold to fix the core, too cold to drive .

Out of those 7 only one needed to replace the heater core..the other 6 were either leaks wanna check those quick connects or hoses before ripping your dash out and replacing the heater core Help!!!! Wow! I'm flattered now....

Just want to know if anyone has had their heater core give up on them. Then attempted and completed the 8 hour job all on your own and for the first time!

Replaced the heater core....
Many have used in front of the heater core cover, and the rear abs module kinda blocks the screw on the right.
To remove a heater core for a 97 in a in this thread that might be helpful.

I have (like all of you) had to repalce the heater core, when got it all out the screws that hold the "heater core retainer" where rusted solid and most of the end eaten away. Does any one sell these? I have looked in LMC, ClassicParts and Eckler's. Or...

one of the pride and joys of my boat here in canada was a super heater core.
when i winterized the boat i took special care to blow out the heater core....then i waited a while,,,and blew it out some more...

I have a 95 ti and I smell a little coolant in the passenger compartment. No wetness in on the floor... yet.
I am thinking the culprit it either the tubes going to the heater core, ore the heater core itself.
Anyway when looking into the parts on realoem...

You can remove the tubes and then the heater core just slides out towards console....
Has anyone ever changed their heater core before? I replaced a heater core on a customer's ti area to the heater core.

The high pressure line from pump, that wouldn't be the 3 piece, the one with the pressure switch? If it is do you have the switch and the small hard line as well .
