Its not redundancy.
This leads me to believe that its not redundancy and they have just given her a taxable amount through payroll .
I may be wrong and please anybody correct me, redundancy under 30k is not taxable .

Many schemes have an ill-health rule that ONLY pays out where the reason for leaving is "ill of what would be paid if ....
You say it is an ill health pension or is it just an ordinary pension which is enhanced by ill.

ill health, if your stat pay is about to be stopped you can claim ESA if youre still ill.
