I once tried S-Video from a DVD player to a Dell 24" LCD. The resultant picture was terrible, as was the picture on an LCD TV that I tried a few months back from it's own analogue tuner. Connect the TV to external components such as a set top box or DVD player via component or HDMI before returning the unit. Then only concern yourself with JB's return policy if this fails to deliver a satisfactory picture. source

You wont get an extended warranty after purchase from JB. Plasma's and LCD's are expensive devices and can cost a reeeeal lot to repair. I have had a bad experience with a plasma so unless you feel very lucky I would get the warranty. Shop around for the best deal of TV plus warranty. source

I'm going to buy the Emperors Edition, but they only sell them at EB Games, but I would prefer the Cannons, since I don't play naval battles that much. So I have the choice between the Emperors Edition, or the Grand Convention Battery. source

It doesn't matter who wins here the European and US markets will decide the winner regardless. All that would happen here if one was more popular is that support for it would dry up and the other would still win over time. You don't think studios with no US market would continue to support the few thousand units sold here? source

Ok I'm gonna check out some stuff at jb hifi an my local home theatre shop next time I'm near there. What brands are good and what should I be looking for. If I can't find anything at jb hifi I'll get the logitechs. Either way I'll need a sound card so what is recomended? source
