Hey.
Can someone tell me what type of snare is being used by the 2 drummers on King Crimson's THRAK? I feel like it is a well known snare sound. Pretty sure both drummers are using the same snare.

That said....
That is a well-known snare sound, but one that has at least as much to do with tuning and playing style than with what particular drum it is (rimshots played about half way between dead center and the hoop with wide open medium-high tuning) .
