I am going to install a mini split this summer in my grow and am wondering what would be a good one for Maine where the temps run low in the winter on the outside but still need cool air in seal rooms.

Splits in a large room are the smaller blowers with in the handlers .

Can a mini split air handler handle more than one room. For example, can an air handler in a hall way heat and cool bed rooms off that hall?

Meaning if you have rooms that are unused most of the time, you can turn down the AC.
But a unit in each room will give you the best zoning .
There are also mini-split indoor units that can be ducted as well.

All ac's regardless if it is a mini split, standard split, window unit or package.

When your ac is on and actively cooling it is removing heat from the room out of the condensation line/drain.
An ac is basically a glorified dehumidifier.
The ac is not adding humidity to the room that is a result of the plants.

SO the bottom line is spend some money if you want ur mini split to run properly in cold for the condensation water to drain too? Def go with a mini-split will probably need a inverter system to run mini ....
