I just had two HVAC guys come out to my place in the last week to give me an estimate on purchasing and installing a Mini Split AC unit in my 320 ft² studio (built in a detached 1-car garage). The cheaper of the two estimates was for a 14 SEER 9,000 BTU...

Quick question on this topic.
The mini split AC unit to cycle air.
Long story short, the misses and I live in a 1 1/2 story home. Our bedroom encompasses the whole upper level (about 400sq ft). We're tired of the old window unit we put in every year (drug it in from the shed again today) to help keep it cool up there...

Has anyone found a good way to control and monitor the operation of minisplit units? im working on a network of them for my house and am wondering how to control them... -Christopher

I did a little research about a year ago and if I remember correctly many of the mini split AC my inverter mini-split unit using Homeseer and a little VB program that talks to my micro-controller in adding a mini....
I live in the Philadelphia area. I have an 800 sq. ft. concrete block well insulated office/studio behind my house. I have natural gas service to my house but not to this building. I am looking to replace the aging oil fired hot air heater in the building...

One option I am considering is to have a ductless mini split system, possibly Mitsubishi.
Your answer aligns with my understanding of the Mitsubishi mini-split system house.
And dehumidifying in summer.

Mini Split or central AC is the best for a sealed environment with co2.

And yes.
APC makes reasonably good stuff.
Towards a mini-split unit now actually, that way we can completely seal that room off and make it moreEfficiency probably about average for a 1-ton AC unit.
