Is there some way a person can find out if a charity claiming to be a Mexican non-profit is legitimate?
I would like to know what this status is called here, assuming that all non-profits have to apply for governmental approval.

If you want unintentional, there are lots more specific charities/foundations because I think the bigger ones often take too much charities...

Research for grants in your local area and then get to know someone personally on the grant committee. For the most part, it is difficult to get grant money without a track record.
