Honestly, if you only do one thing that is "non-tech.
And spec documents are usually absolutely horrible.

Http://openiddirectory.com/ is a directory for sites that uses OpenID.
This will give you an insight on how OpenID is perceived by non-techies .
Yahoo released their OpenID usability research results a while back .

So my laptop is a few years old now and SSSLLLLOOOO .... I was going to take it in and have it cleaned up, whatever, to get some speed back. I run Norton on it and they have PC Tuneup which says I'm legit, no viruses, etc... Do any of those scan it, run...

I run Comodo, and run regular defraging on the Main... .
I haven't ever really found a scan it fix it fast thing that truly does what is says to do .
I have found Norton to take up a lot of system resources on old computers, so i have strayed a way from it .

Is it frowned upon to release your software with a version number high than 1? For example, some non tech-savy people might see a competitor's product with a higher version number as meaning my software is not as good.

Of product A is even remotely related to a Version 1.0 of a product B .
