I've been using my iPhone as my alarm clock for too long. I'd like some suggestions for fancy clock radios that look cool, and I figured you nerdlings could help me out. iPod dock features aren't needed, but that would definitely be a plus.

It's radio first, but has like, 7 alarm sets - each one can be set for which days of the week, specified stations, and volume .
AM/FM/SW/Airband.
I use a Grundig G3 (may be Eton G3 depending where/when you live) .

If it's "no electronics", then phones iPods, and other devices are put away .
I would have handled it like you did, only we have an "all or nothing" policy .
I put my policy in the sub's notes with instructions on how to handle violations .
