Hi,my name is Judi and I just found out on the 30th that i am a diabetic. I am 54 yrs old and even tho my mother was one also before she died I still have no idea on what to do! I just got my meter ordered and was told to check once a day in the morning...

While I think I have reasonably good BG control, I must disagree with checking the BG 1x/day (especially using morning) .
If you have not been to a diabetes education class, go (or get a referral if needed) .

I can only get otc (over the counter) drugs. I was thinking a bottle

I came to this conclusion that most of the over counter protein powders are scam....I stopped using them 2 months ago, and with a high calorie diet, I'm still gaining muscle and weight...
