PC-BSD has configurations for on-the-fly USB mounting and a lot of background scripts to make, this is not of paramount....
PC-BSD is a pre-configured, pre-compiled FreeBSD with a lot of customizations thrown and configurations.

All OSS applications I use have options.
But on my PC-BSD I see no such file there.

Unluckily I have no idea how to do it properly on PC-BSD.

In general, people would chose FreeBSD for server....
If you want to use PC-BSD for a server then I assume you insist on using a GUI since that is what PC-BSD is all about.

I would recommend posting the details
about it to one of the FreeBSD boards / mailing lists, since this would
be something a FreeBSD developer would have to take a look at. .
I'm unsure if that is a bug also.
