All righty then, I'm looking to clear out my PCI-E slot that is currently occupied by my soundcard. My Mobo has S/PDIF out so I'm going to work with that. I do not want a USB based DAC, or one based on IEEE 1394. I've already got one of those and I use...

Then this is what i reccomend for you.
Just my view on the matter.
B) It is for space to the DAC over USB .
Switches between two digital sources without any issues.
Exactly what I want it to.

Hopefully selling my old PC (Check it in the marketplace) for ~£140. I also currently have a Corsair HS1A Analogue headset which I may be selling to a friend for £20. This leaves me with a budget of £160 in an ideal world.

I had a Creative Fatal1ty Ti Pro which was amazing, but just depends how the AMP helps with headphones .
For a Xonar DG or DX (DG is PCI, DX is PCI-E).

I know EK has 1 slot IO bracket but they state so that install a soundcard below.
So can I get either the EK 7970 or some other and fit 2 cards in 2 pci-e next to eachother?

Your best bet is ....
Are you asking if you can use two 7970's, both with EK blocks tests only .
I don't get what you're asking.
The GPU blocks would all be too big for 1 slot spacing
Also coolers .
PCI-E slots simultaneously.

If they are(probably because it's an OC version) then the faster one will just default to what the slower one is set.
Where is the best place to buy a SLI Bridge.
You can remove the Soundcard and use your onboard sound.

First, I was mistaken that the pci in the K8WE is connected to the AMD chipset, it is indeed to the nforce4. I mistook the second pci-x bus for the pci. As there is no info on how the nforce4 is done internally, it is unknown if the connect through the...

The soundcard is a PCI card, installed in a PCI slot.
But the driver in question would be the soundcard driver which is entirely unaware that its running on a PCIe mobo.
