I dunno, I lean towards the TAS the spider-man mythos is big enough so that there never has to be an x-men of fantastic four visit the big deal with people wanting....
But honestly, I'd say Spectacular Spider-Man is already better.

Spider-man and Cat's relationship is written great.
Artwork is amazing.
Had the story/Spectacular run.
It certainly isn't a spider-man story and that's what gets me the most.
But I hated the art.
