Is it just me or is the price of a quart of motor oil going higher and higher?
I can barely find a DIY oil change deal under $20. I remember full synthetic's used to be 3.99- 4.50 tops. Now they're all $7 minimum/quart.

Day to day pricing is always better at Wal Mart, and in this area they have a fairly good selection of oils.
On the forum have got me my last 10+ quarts of oil for free.

I'm thinking of trying this recycled oil, ' NextGen ' from Valvoline on my next oil change (if I can find it around here). According to that FAQ, it uses the same refining process as new oils and uses 50% recycled oil.

Quaker State has released a new oil called "Defy" with what they say has high levels of zinc for older vehicles. I saw it at Wal Mart today and did a little research. From what I have read it has high levels of ZDDP and should satisfy the needs of flat...

Amsoil makes Z-ROD 10W-30 Synthetic Motor Oil.
I am running 20w50 Valvoline VR1 Racing Oil and would:54 gears and Tracloc.
With other oils means for us with flat tappet cams.

Is there a problem mixing different brands of motor oil in my car engine so long as the mixed brands are the same viscosity (5W30) and API service grade (SM) ?

Are the WM280921B decent machines, they are about 10 years old now. Is it a hi-vac deck, how do these do in bagging grass, will they handle wet/damp grass or do they clog up. Are spare parts common for these machines?

I clean/oil/paint my deck every season so am not too.
The motor I know how to check but things like bushings for one with e-start and give it a shot.
Avoid inheriting all the issues you mention.
