As title there seems to be excessive engine noise, I've tried to upload to YouTube but cant cut and paste from phone! There seem to be quite a few similar vids, alot of comments say nothing to worry about but would appreciate your ...

Depends what you mean on noise? Ticking, Rattle etc? Both really, if you search evo X engine noise.

Has the 'X' engine code, V6. auto trans.
what size is this one and is it pushrod (appears to be) or overhead cam?

The Ford Ranger 3.0 motors and 4....
But, a brief description or picture can tell me if it is a 3.0 or 4.0 liter motor .
I can't find my LMC catalogue, so I cannot give you that X code meaning .
I am pretty sure all Ford Ranger motors are overhead cam .

Remap needed for run in a stroker?
Is a remap needed to run in a 2.2l stroker kit?
I talk about a evo x engine that is already remaped to 380hp.
Would it be ok or would I need a special map to run the engine in if I change it to 2.2l?

Yes!
fueling would be out ignition would be out, and if you just ran it on the map you already had it would die Damn!
The plan was to drive the engine in and then take it over to UK (I am from Germany and we don´t have tuners with experiences on special... .

I ask this as we will be repowering our 2006 Hustler 1754 walkbehinds soon and with less than 1200 hrs on them with 30 hr oil changes, air filters every other OC and new spark plugs every yr and the engine gets the cover pulled off with air filter changes...
