How seriously do you take reviews here on Amazon?
For me its a combo of the reviews and the synopsis. If a book got not-so-great reviews but the synopsis is interesting I might still buy it. I don't write a lot of reviews, mainly keeping it to love it or hate it books.

How seriously do app developers manage their privacy policy?
I figured to have the application added to the directory you needed a tos. I whipped one up very quick basically saying use at your own risk lol. I can't see much that wouldn't be covered if you clearly state "No guarantees are made, use at own risk".
I guess you don't need a tos to add to the directory though so I wont be doing that anymore. I submitted on the 14th, hopefully it goes in today.

Should PHDs in some fields be taken as seriously as others?
If they're talking about the same field as their degree, sure I take them seriously. If it's two different topics, I'd take it with a grain of salt as I would just about anyone talking about a subject that is not their expertise.

Anyone else seriously underwhelmed by Mass Effect?
ME was awesome imo, but i see what you mean about the side missions, all of them were pretty much the same, while the main story planets design were awesome, the ones for the side missions were plain, dull and the same boring deisgn, with minor changes here and there. Still, mass effect is def one of my fav wrpgs for this gen so far.
