I'm making a Flash app in Flash 10 and ActionScript 2.0 and need support for calling an EXE with some params and minimizing/close the application.
Neither Adobe AIR nor Zinc don't seem to support some code I made and I'm looking for a very simple alternative...

I'm the project owner of HIppoHX , an Open Source alternative to AIR based on haXe and SWHX that does what you need (plus it's fully extensible) .

Hiya, I got steam, the other day, but it seems I can't PLAY without adobe flash player 10. I can't seem to find download. If anyone has a link, or knows how to make it compatible with flash player 11, id be eternally(3 and a half sandwichs) greatful!

I can't seem to find, it is backwards, but, steam isn't .

The situation. The BBC iPlayer worked in IE8 before I upgraded to W2K8 R2. The BBC iPlayer works in Mozilla now! In IE8 the iPlayer tells me to get Adobe flash, when I go to the Adobe site I get mumbo jumbo about running 32-bit programs in 64-bit OS.

I'm not familiar with adobe stratus, but as far as I can tell this is very equivalent to the way protocol is available here
Adobe calls Stratus a "rendezvous" service.

I would recommend installing version 10's.
Note: I didn't do any debugging, though Adobe has some debugger version in your browser (you can tell it not to).

Removing Adobe Flash Player and also in IE, Firefox going into your addons and removing the plugin, then go to the Adobe website and reinstall Adobe Flash Player.
