There's an obvious confusion here : Flash Player is not directly a media player.
Try putting a media player Flash movie instead.
The application/x-shockwave-flash type.

I currently use the Zune media player (version 3.0.
Helium
Songbird does have some great plugins though.
Media player was using 61 MB and Quintessential 10 MB.
And today compared its memory usage.

I'm trying to subscribe to a podcast in Windows Media Player 10, but I did not find any options to do that. If Windows Media Player does not provide that option please suggest any other players (iTunes on Windows sucks).

I've set autoplay to "Take no action" on all devices and file types in Windows 7, but Windows Media Player 12 seems to completely ignore this. I can't find a setting in any of the media player options either.

I've set up Windows Media Player with a playlist that plays the same WMA twice. I've also set it to repeat (loop).
This is somewhat Ok for no gaps during transition, but once every 10 minutes, I'll pick up a gap. Is there a better way to set this up?

This might to you'd have to convert or use another editor, sorry!
The JRiver Media Jukebox can be set to play import the track(s) to the player....
For troubleshooting and identifying purposes you could try a different media player.

I've got TVersity installed on a Windows 2003 server box (work had an extra license that they donated to let me install at home to get some practice setting up/administering a domain etc.)
I found out that Windows Media Player 11 won't install on Windows...

As long as you are using Windows Media Player 10 or higher out of the box this should automatically need to check under Media Player settings that looking for shared media is enabled.

I have an embed window media player which is always on top of other DIV tags. I used wmode = opaque; WindowlessVideo = -1 but it does not help. Does anyone know how to make it appear below a certain element of the page.

When defining z-index, you also have to designate position: absolute for the div that the object tag... .
I'm uncertain whether the same solution will work here, but it's worth a shot .
I have had a similar experience doing the same thing with *.swf objects .
