The savage is supposed to be a little more ....
The Remington is more customizable, has more aftermarket stocks and parts availalbe .
I think that Savage puts out a consistently better product then Remington.
10fp is an excellent gun.
Original...

Push „If you can't convince them, confuse them." Harry Truman Thank God For Guns Hab schon zu viel ausgegeben in letzter zeit, also nix für mich Muss aber sagen den Schaft hast Du echt prima hinbekommen Respekt! is des GEIL Remington 700 sps aac-sd .
I have a Savage 10fp with a B&C stock. It was a used stock and it is not an ideal fit. The barrel nut hits, trigger parts and rear tang also hit. It action rocks when sitting in the stock so I plan I getting it bedded. Previous owner took out to much ...

I've heard of it being done with no adverse effects, but no positive ones either... .
Since on a Savage, but if I saw your stock I might agree w/ your smith.
The main reason not to bed a Savage tang is that the rear of the action has no screw...

Why all the bad/negative talk about Savage rifles? What is the problem with the gun? I read they shoot damn good. The most terrifying words in the English langauge are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help. Ronald Reagan

My 10FP has Savage 10FP, had about 4000 rounds through when this was taken, shoots at least as nice now Savage .10FP....
Savage gets my $$$ I wouldn't hesitate to recommend someone buy a Savage.
Etc, etc...
This... or this? I have had a 24" Savage 10FP before and loved it! It was an amazing rifle. I really like the 22" threaded version now, but I have had my eye on the LAR-8 Varmint model for some time now. I realize that there is quite a price gap, so do...

The AR rifles are capable of excellent accuracy and I have a couple that compete with bolt rifles quite well out to that range .
I have shot both platforms in a variety of calibers for several years, targets and competitive shooting out to 500 yards .

We are very excited about this new Group Buy. These are prefit Savage barrels and will have a threaded muzzle! These barrels will be shipping in March 2012. These ER Shaw barrels have the following specification: Savage Small Shank, Standard Sporter Contour...

1 moa was about the limit of ....
I had one of those on a pre-Accu-anything 10FP, then.
I think it just has a synthetic thermoplastic stock and not an Accustock .
That's an older model scope package gun, I think, no longer listed by Savage.
OK this is still a bit of a sore wound for me. Re opened from reading the "best bull shizzle" thread. A big BS line thrown in was Savage owners who claim 1/2 MOA accuracy. Well I would be one of those who had claimed 1/2 MOA accuracy. That is of course...

What I have seen people say is a homebuilt Savage can shoot just as good as a custom rifle, at substantially lower with Savage? Anyway, I've seen....
The-shelf Savage will shoot a repeatable 1/2 MOA OR shoot better than a custom rifle.
Out of the box, what is a decent bolt action in a .308 flavor? Im thinking Id like to start launching shit at paper again. From what Ive read it doesnt sound like, as a bolt action newbie, Id be able to tell much of a difference. I looking at trying to...
