MacBook Pro 5,1 - boot time?

New Macbook Pro Sleeves?

I'm not sure about the belkin one, but the new MBP can fit in the incase sleeves that they sell right now at the Apple Store. I'm pretty sure it's the old one that was designed for the previous gen MBP so it's somewhat of a tight fit but it still provides the same protection nonetheless. source

Macbook or Laptop?

I much prefer the user interface of Macs over PC's. I have just borrowed a friends Mac Book to tke to Scotland with me for a week and he has XP and OSX installed as its an Intel machine. Seems to do quite a nice job as a dual boot machine from my experiences with it so far. source

External LCD not using correct resolution?

Thanks for your reply, but I already have Parallels configured that way, but it doesn't seem to respond properly. Never seems to adjust to host machine's resolution. source

What notebooks have decent screens now?

I see absolutely nothing wrong with a 14" screen. Notebooks that have smaller screens have batteries that last longer. I like having a notebook I can run for five and a half hours while it's unplugged. source
