Hey all,
I have a VE SV6 and recently got my stereo done. I have an alpine mrx v60 5 chan amp new speakers in front and rear doors and a 12" alpine type s ( SWS-1243D ) sub.
Now I'm thinking of adding (not 100% sure yet) a 2nd sub and am not sure what...

Having the subs wired.
Since they are only 300rms each? Would it be better to wire at 4 ohms and they get 300 rms each to the M100 @2ohms and then both subs will get a nice healthy 500w RMS each.

Maximum power output @ 2 ohms 500W x 2CH=1000W
Total channel output power:

Here are the specs for my RCA sub....200 watts rms, 4 ohms at 1 % thd. Crossover 50hz-200 hz variable. Frequency response 36hz-200 hz.
Is this ok or should it be better? It is 10 years old. I was told it is better to get a sub that has a frequency response...

I have a JBL GTO14001 (rated 1500w RMS 2 ohms or 1200w RMS 4 ohms).
I don't know what the best solution would be to keeping my amplifier and running either a pair or a single sub. I really don't have a size preference, I just don't want it taking over...

If I went with one Rockford Fosgates Pro Punch Series .
Or 1200w RMS 4 ohms)
2 Ascendant Chaos 12" those were rated 150w RMS each and were in a 2sqft tuned to 80hz sealed enclosure.

I am talking about the "subwoofer, not 400W.
If I want it to be loud again, I just turn it up to 4.
I pretty much have the same setup as OP except I use of the time .
The ZX400.1 will put out 400W RMS at 2 ohms.
