ATTN 1911 Gurus: STI Trojan or SA Loaded 1911? Howdy,
This would be my first 1911, so I thought I'd ask the pros. What do y'all think: An STI Trojan or a Springfield Loaded (9mm or .45), primarily for a range/comp gun?

Hello...i am looking into buying a .22 1911 either the Colt or Gsg...i am not sure on what one to buy so what i am asking is if you guys have any info on either one... or should i just buy a conversion for my 45 ??

80% of the parts on the GSG/Sig are interchangeable....
+1 for the GSG/Sig.
A blast to shoot for sure.
Love it! No problems and fires every time interchangable with a standard 1911.
Purchased the Sig Sauer version of the 1911 22LR a while back.

Of all the automatics I have handled the 1911 is the one I trust the most and handle the best.
Many folks do actually carry a 1911 with a fine degree of trust and comfort.
And experience bring trust and comfort.

1911 feeding problems seem to be mostly with the cracked case.
I am not suggesting that it is normal or acceptable mags) and using only that mag to see if there are problems .
If that's normal in a 1911, count me out.

And hand fittings are involved in a forged 1911 its no mystery why they cost what they do.

As the title states, I'm having trouble deciding between a new
-SA TRP (base model) $1260 / PM7 $1560
OR
-a SW1911/SA mil-spec and adding aftermarket barrel/bushing/trigger job.
OR
-some other model inbetween?
-I doubt I will be doing the smithing myself...

I want to pick up a PM7 to compliment my CBOB the TRP, but if you like the classic look... .
Go for the PM7! Dan Wesson makes a damn tight semi-custom 1911.
Just my 2 cents but I think a loaded springfield 1911 is one of the best buys out there.
