I had two different Kimber Ultra Carry II 3'' aluminum frame 45 acp 1911 pistols situation, I wanted a 3" 1911 that I could easily conceal.

Its awesome! +1 for crossbreed supertuck, i carry a G23 or G19 in it comfortable as hell of those who shoot best....
I have a Don Hume H726 No.10 that is very comfortable for me and I carry a full size 1911 1911.

Best holster hands down. Go for the combat cut for a full grip. Or just order the normal cut and trim the leather yourself, thats what I did.

The best I've found for me is the Milt leather holster for my full size 1911.
I can always throw in in a tote if I don't like it .

What min. caliber do you use for concealed carry? I have been using 9mm most of my life (due to familiarity etc)... but am considering a smaller caliber for concealed carry.
My question is what calibers do you use that are still effective at close range...
