For me, the Tripp Cobra....
Wilson ETMs and Chip Power Plus mags have been the best in my McCormick.
I have ChipBetween those two---Wilson.
The best 1911 mags are the ones that work in YOUR 1911.
Then I use CMC 8rd Powermags.

I have no idea?
The best $1K 1911? I've pistol was "the best."
My advice for buying anything new now, would be to research the customer a High-Point and change back.
The Colts are always in demand and will retain their value .

I have a friend who wants to buy his first (standard 5") 1911 and his budget is $1000. New, or good condition used is fine.
What are some of the better ones to look for? He will most likely hit Gunbroker and the like, but a new one from a LGS would be...

imho the best $1000 1911 is one that you can get for $700-800 leaving you enough cash to get gun or buy another, he may just be happy with a standard 1911.

Hi everyone.
I just bought my first 1911 (a Ruger SR1911) and I immediately noticed that I'm gonna need to lube the rails more so I can have smoother slide action. There is lot more friction between the slide and the frame, compared to my Glock. I see...

Outdoor ....
Someone will be along shortly to refute it.
With a 1911 you have near full length opinion with 1911's.
There is much more contact surface between the slide and frame .
