Lets see what happens to Para now that Freedom Group now owns them as far as quality goes. Will they go down hill like Remington, Marlin, H&R time will tell.

As did Remington and Marlins QC go right down the old toilet Bad part is stasticaly most co's that are bought like this are for tax purpose, and usually get sold off or out of busines once they the buyer drains them ... .
I believe that quality will go up.

OK guys
I just saw an Armalite AR-10 at the local store and the only thing I am not liking about this rifle is that it uses proprietary mags.
I also like the Sig 716, The new cheap Bushy 7.62 Optics Ready Rail, and I am open to any and all other suggestions...

I have an RRA and it is very accurate but too heavy to lug around through the woods for long, great long range gun though. It takes FAL mags which are fairly cheap. Also RRA sells 20 rounders for $20.00.I have run cheap surplus ammo and Black Hills both ... .

I got a S&W M&P15 stripped lower and a Pearce Grips AR-1911 adaptor yesterday to start my AR build(s). Current gameplan is to start with a 5.56 16" carbine-length build with the quickchange barrel setup and either a 300BLK 16" or a 7.62x40 WR 16" barrel...

How did you decide which rifle kit to buy from Palmetto?
I'm thinking about buying a striped lower and one of the kits with assembled upper and lower parts but I'm really not sure about all the differences .

These twist rates are hotly debated here when it comes to carbine, upper, or barrel selection. I've always stuck to 1:7 due to it being the mil spec twist rate due in part to its propensity to stabilize heavier projectiles downrange. But I've never seen...

Any idea what bullet weights these charts represent?
It would be interesting to see a similar graphic comparing M193 and M855 .

I know this is almost enough to get me a fist sandwich, but I picked up an Airsoft 1911 model.

This isn't the K-Mart version. With 3 mags it cost $270.00, weighs 2+ pounds, goes to slide-lock, palm and...

They are so inaccurate that they don't help much there but they keep you in tune... .
I have a nice Airsoft 1911 that I train with for certain things where I either want a non lethal weapon, or want a non firearm to keep the by the numbers thing happening .

Sorry, I don....
Mine is a Remington 700 Classic in .257 Roberts, topped with a Leupold 2x7 .
Next if they are little and closer.
I would have to go bolt action 30-06 with 3x9 or 3.5x 10 6.5 Swed .
The one that makes them bleed.
Oh and pics if you got them.

A while back my great aunt gave me my great grandfathers ranger 101.6 16 gauge shot gun. It is still in pretty good condition for a gun that was made in the 30-40's. I guess my question is do you guys have a gun that is a piece of your family history ...

Granted, it's not as old, but do you think your great grandfather would want it just sitting? I doubt he bought it for that .
He bought the gun to shoot, so I do the same .
SHOOT IT! My Grandfather gave me a Rossi Overland in 20 gauge before he passed .

Nothing like a loaded question. I have loved the look of the Ed Brown Bobtail and have wanted to get a 4.25" Bobtailed gun for carry. Considered a Dan Wesson but have always loved the look and quality of the EB KC, EC or SFC or the Wilson Combat Bobtailed...

Yep, I did the same thing.
That's a beautiful pistol - Congrats.

What are the best options for an AR that will shoot tiny groups?
I have a Les Baer .308 that's guaranteed to shoot .5 MOA. So naturally, I looked at the Les Baer .223's for ultimate accuracy in an AR platform. Will a Noveske shoot the same groups? How...

Another option....
The Noveske Stainless barrels will be close, but they'll have the advantage of being able to handle 5.56 ammo and will be extremely reliable under heavy firing schedules .
To the best of my knowledge you'll want to go w/ a stainless barrel .
