Is it worth it to spend a little extra on a 1gb card with the same exact specs as a card with 512mb memory for a monitor of resolution 1920x1080?
I am thinking of getting the nvidia gts 250. The 1gb card throws in a fre usb stick :)

Personally, I'm one for having the maximum number of pixels .
The downside is the screen is a bit smaller and there is less actual screen space (less pixels) .
The 1600x900 monitor will be less to display and should give higher framerates, yes .

Just remember you can get a converter for the DVI port for £1ish on ebay if you really need HDMI for a console etc, of course you will have to route the sound through another source .
