The only thing it does is pump extra air into the engine for the first 30 seconds during... .
If that is true you don't have to worry about it unless you live in a state that has emission checks .
I think the P0411 is considered to be the secondary air pump .

If you are worried about the maintenance....
For example are always a plus.
New clutch, new brakes etc.
I would say go with your budget for the best example (history, mileage, SERVICE history) you can find .
Buy condition.
There is no bad year for a Spider.
