Canon published a press release announcing a new DSLR camera - the 1D X. Here you can see it on the Canon website:

Maybe Canon will see fit to stick the 1D AF system, bump of the 1D and 1DS lines so its highly likely the 1D4 will be pensioned off when th 1Dx ships.
The 5Dmk2 replacement interests me more.

Canon 1d mk2 is not compatible with Windows 7 - that's why there's no connection with EOS Utility on my....
Its all in the manual.
Thank you The usb on a 1D is for direct printing only, you need a firewire to use EOS utility.

My new 2nd hand Canon 1D Mk2 can't connect to EOS Utility to download my photos onto DPP for RAW conversion
When the USB connected my old 50D everything was fine and EOS Utility came up straight away
With the Canon 1D, the usual EOS...
