Even deterministic scalar functions are evaluated at least once per row .
In second example, just once.
In your first query, your fn_cdc_increment_lsn and fn_cdc_get_min_lsn get executed for every row .

Meh... it's not surprising to me at all. With my PCOS and insulin resistance, I'm surprised my level wasn't higher.

I've never flown into and out of DXB before and am slightly nervous about a 1hr 45min transfer time. Both flights are Emirates and are therefore into and out of T3, but am quite worried about navigating my way around and whether security queues will hold...

Remember an airline will not give you that ticketing....
If you are flying Emirates all the way your bags will be tagged for the whole route and you will just have to leave the plane and then go to another gate within the same Terminal .
