If you can boot - it means....
Although I have had both a HDD and a DVD drive fail within days, if both failed at the same time I'd.
You could always try using the HDD or DVD in another computer to see if they're.
Guess something else.

I'm trying to install Fedora on a really old (1999-2000) PC, even though I have set it to boot the CD/DVD drive first it wont boot from the CD, I know the CD 'im using is bootable, do you think that the CD might be too new or something?

For (2), usually something (or even make a bootable CD image)....
In the example above, I typically find that for (1) - it manifests by random read/write errors and/or can read from some media and not others .
Suddenly start using again (2).

What is the difference between DVD-R and DVD+R discs?
I usually buy DVD+R just because it's a plus. Does it make difference for archivists? The price is almost the same for both formats.

2) DVD+R ("DVD plus” R) and +RW formats are not approved by the DVD Forum standards....
Better for data as most Computer DvD players technical standards.
BUT data can be added later (not RW, but still accessible) .

I Have DVD Studio Pro 4. When I had DVD Studio Pro 2, and whenever I had a project that ran almost two hours, I would take the audio file and compress it in A.Pack so the whole thing would fit on one disc. I don't seem to have A.Pack on my computer anymore...
