I prefer to use WebForms + custom HTTPHandlers handling the server side of any AJAX calls.

I don't understand whyI would definitely use Javascript for this.
Would used Ajax to do the save, and then use javascript to refresh the page.

I'm working on an ASP.net 3.5 website with MooTools as the AJAX framework. So, I want to disable ASP.net's AJAX framework so it behaves more like ASP.net 2.0. This is to decrease page loading times and to reduce incompatibilities. Thanks!

Title says it all, but I have a server with .Net 2.0 sp1 installed and have no ability to install the AJAX extensions on the server. Is there anyway I could work around this to incorporate ASP.NET AJAX functionality?

This will not block the javascript code flow so you will have to set a Dialog....

Are the AJAX Toolkit component "inside" some other AJAX components, perhaps a standard .NET AJAX component, or some other third party component that ^^ Or you could ask the 3G users....
