You'll have to upgrade to ASP.NET 3.5 to use ASP.NET MVC.

Actually I want to clear that shall i do ASP.Net 2.0 first and than move to 3.5 and 4.0 ? OR I start with ASP.Net 3.5/4.0 and most of ASP.Net 2.0 will also be covered in it, and the rest should i cover afterwords? I'm concerned about the fact that, if...

I'd suggest the same for the framework....
If you're looking to start in the web, learn the ASP.Net event lifecycle you learn.
You should learn 2.0 methodologies applied.
Each framework is built on the successes and failures of the last one .
I have a web application using ASP.NET 2.0 and I want to know if I should be moving it to ASP.NET 3.5, particularly... what am I missing by not moving to ASP.NET 3.5? I understand the disadvantages, but I don't understand the advantages. What are the ...

By the way, ASP.NET MVC is NOT included.
Performance wise they will run the same.
Expressions.
Is there a source for quickly getting up to speed with the general, programming deltas between ASP.NET 1.1/2.0 and ASP.NET 3.5? For example, I understand that cookies are no longer encouraged and you should use properties??? Is there a list out there ...

"1.1 to 2.0" is rather different from "2.0 to 3.5" This might help: An Overview of ASP.NET 3.5 and Visual Studio 2008 Excerpt: Like with the progression from ASP.NET 2.0 to 3.0, the features in ASP.NET 3.5 are....
I am working on an in-house tool for interfacing to a database. My current prototyping is written in C# using ASP.NET 2.0 with the intent to optimise some client-side operations using javascript. However, I was hoping to leverage Silverlight to simplify...

However you can also use the ASP.NET asp:Silverlight server side control and in that case.
Yes Sivler light can be used with asp.net 2.0 and can be also be deployed to other platforms are fine.
I currently have an ASP.net 2.0 site with multiple ASP.Net 1.1 sites running as Virtual Directories under the main 2.0 site. While this creates some problems with web.config entries inheritance from the 2.0 site to the 1.1 sites, we have been able to ...

I don't think there are any major differences that would cause you a problem as ASP.NET 3.5 web sites are only ever indicated to be 2.0 sites and it'll be the 2.0 runtime reading the web.config if you use the AJAXControl toolkit as....
What are some good resources for learning ASP.NET MVC 2.0 (if I don't already know ASP.NET MVC 1.0)?

Key aspect you need to understand about ASP.NET MVC is that MVC isn't explicitly specialised for ASP.NET - it's a very wide design pattern - MVC stands for Model-View-Controller , you should really read up on MVC and gain a general understanding....
Good Day, We have migrated our web application to ASP.NET 2.0 from ASP.NET 1.1. We have a page that contains a couple of textboxes with their respective Validators. On .NET 1.1, when a textbox contains an INVALID value, clicking on the "submit" button...
