Exactly who is Apple's Target Demographic with iPhone?
I thought the same thing about the original iPod. The demographic is the "first adopters" who could care less about money, and wouldn't cry if it were stolen or they broke it. However, as time progresses, they will make slimmed down versions for the middle-class folk.

Would 200 apps be asking too much for new ipod touch and iphone?
Users with jailbroken phones are probably familiar with Categories. It basically allows users to create folders to put apps in. If Apple included an application like this, all problems would be solved. It is also much more convenient than scrolling through 9 pages of apps.

Recently bought iphone 3g, upgrade in summer?
Well O2 here in the UK did an upgrade program, you could get an iPhone 3G, and it would end your current 2G iPhone contract, and start a new 18 month contract with the 3G. Hope they do a similar thing again this year, assuming a new iPhone is released.

Rumored Apple Tablet?
All traditional forms of media are dying out due to the digital push. SI is being proactive to figure out a way to deliver content in a new way. From what I'm seeing on there, it looks like a bunch of demo fluff. You'd need an entire city filled with developers and graphic designers to maintain something like this.
If Apple were to create a touch tablet, I'm sure the navigation will be a fusion of OSX and the mobile springboard. The hardware technology exists to make it happen now, but creating something that's usable for all will be a huge challenge.
