I bought my T2i 3 yrs ago this month of year. At time, the T2i seems to be the state of the art for this class. Prior to its arrival, I did window shopping for T1i, Nikon D90, Panny GH1, Samsung NX10. When the T2i came out, I paid for it full price.

Another one would be Contax RTS 3 classes.

I'm pretty happy with it, it's comparatively....
IIRC old Pentax and Canon lenses will work with their D-SLR
bodies, and Fuji won't, but someone with a clue will be along shortly.
D-SLR bodies will take lenses from non-digitals,
and some won't.
