I looked on the forums so please tell me if this question has already been andswered. but where is the oil pressure sending unit on a 2000 expedition 5.4? I am assuming somewhere in the vicinity of the oil filter but have looked and cant find it.

I was hoping a faulty sensor....
It dipped to -36 degrees and my oil light and temp light came on the other night, but I have oil.
The actual location depends on whether it 2 or 4 wheel it as well .
It's on the casting for the oil filter.

Just recently bought a 2000 hatchback civic cx... obviously the stupid thing wasnt burning oil when i was test driving it. Noticed the engine oil was pretty dirty, told the guy to change it before i buy but, instead he lowered the price and said he doesnt...

What really bugs me though is how poorly programed the "low oil pressure" dummy light is. IMO, it should be coming on when the oil level on the dipstick reaches to the "add" portion.
I guess today's engines are designed so well that it could run on 1qt...

I'll keep it to the point. I suspect that it's my oil pump rather than bearings. Had it at the dealer Monday for recall work & had them check pressure with a mechanical gauge & it matched...

The #1 symptom of a cracked 0331 is "unexplained I be seeing some oil slopping around....
That can directly lead to low oil pressure.
Hopefully it is not related, but the first question I always ask for an 00-01 with low oil pressure.

2000 golf tdi ALH motor, just wondering whats the proper oil change interval? Ive owned this car over 4.5years and have always done oil changes every 10 000km. I use Castrol Syntec 5w40. Should i be running longer oil change intervals, maybe 16 000km?...

You will need to change it more often (like twice as often, maybe ks also, using the same oil....(in the winter I try to run rotella 0w-40).
In the arctic or in the tropics etc.
