They've got a drain plug that uses a 3/8" square ratchet driveHonda ATF! good stuff, your not doing it that often, why not use the best? and dont forget 11 Jeep GC 70th 13k 9 dealer OC's You want DW-1... .

Hi everyone, I bought the van one year ago. The previous owner had all the records and the van was always serviced at the dealer. ATF was changed about every 30k(sump only). I was aware of the poor history of the Odyssey transmission, and did a 4X fluid...

The transmission never failed, and I eventually sold it in ....
I never did anything about it, other than change the fluid more frequently.
Came back VERY similar.
To have a 2002 Odyssey and several years ago had the tranny fluid analyzed.
Hello, At 50,050 miles 3.125 qts. of darkened but still "transparent" red transmission fluid drained from my brother's 2007 Odyssey Touring when I removed the plug. The fluid did not smell burned at all; it just smelled used. It had no "peppermint" smell...

Does anyone know if Honda's DW-1 is synthetic or not? Kira Honda's DW-1 is synthetic....
It would be a great second starting point.

Related concern, you'd want all the old out and new in .

Considering the "old" way Honda did things, it was a 60k drain regimen for my Hondas is this: Every 50,000 miles I buy a case (12 qts.) of Honda ATF and....
