During the day my (I realize cheap) TV is almost unwatchable. The ambient light blows out the screen so much you can barely make out what's going on in dark scenes. I expected brightness issues from a 4 year old $999 60" DLP.
Are there really any options...

I picked up a 56" JVC HD-ILA (JVC's version of DLP) and it is fucking....
