FX Whisper .22. [IMG] [/IMG] In about 5 weeks, the 2012 California Ground Squirrel Games start in my corner of the world. I've prepped these three guns to campaign this year. Last year I hunted exclusively with my, then new, Marauder pistol. What a hoot...

I'm really considering a .22 handgun for plinking, target shooting, training and general inexpensive fun. My question is, would you purchase a .22 conversion kit or buy a dedicated .22 handgun (p22, sr22, m&p22, 22/45)??
Any advice or comparisons welcome...

Costs less than the conversion kit of .22 autos that are great shooters.
Probably the ISSC M111000.
Probably go with a dedicated .22.

I have a model 650 without the magnum cylinder. I have attempted, unsuccessfully, to locate a MRF cylinder for this gun. My question, is it feasible to bore the .22 LR cylinder to .22 MRF?

If you shoot 22 LR from a gun barreled for a 22 Magnum the....
You just need the proper reamer, and a qualified
person to do it .

with great success.
I have done the same to a mod.
No problem in modifying the 22lr to 22 mag.

Iv got a Ruger .22 mark II,and its a good gun,its what i use on the line.But use to have a old .22 rifle that shot shorts,and loved it cus it was so quite.Wondering what pistols are available that shoot shorts?Not sure if mine would shoot shorts or not...

I was looking up something yesterday and it turned into a rabbit-hole of various bottlenecked 9mm cases loaded with 22 bullets.
The first thing I noticed was that apparently as of 2010, the .224 BOZ is being adapted to the 9mm case instead of the 10mm...

Like thread title states are 22 pistols boring? i want to get one because ammo is nothing and you can always start off with a 22 to get things warming up just wondering if you guys that own them ever get bored of them?
