I own an iPod touch 2G and would like to jailbreak it so that i can develop with something other than objective-c. However the information on the "iphone dev-team" blog seems unclear. Is it at all possible?

If I upgrade my iPod touch from 3.0.1 to 3.1.1, will I re-jail it?
Is there a redsn0w that will recognize and modify the IPSW for 3.1.1
I tried redsn0w 0.80 and it didn't recognize the firmware.

They're on 3.1.1 already? One day and 3.1 already needs 3.1 is for the iphone and 3.1... .
iPod Touch has no SMS therefore no bug.
3.0.1 fixed an SMS bug.
There is no 3.0.1 for iPod touch.
There is not currently a 3.1 jailbreak.

The best advice I can give to any jailbroken ipod/iphone problems is wipe the whole device out that the app works....

Get the iPod Touchif it saids it's not compatible, it probably means you have an older version on the 2g MB model it better.
I think the highest yours can go up to is 3.1.3 You need a newer iPod to do that.
