Still wondering, as I was, "why" 3^3 + 4^3 + 5^3 = 6^3 ? (Viete, in 1500s, published a formula? x = a(2(a^3) - b^3)/(a^3 + b^3)
y = b(b^3 - 2(a^3))/(a^3 + b^3)
ensuring that
x^3 - y^3 = a^3 - b^3.
So for example 6^3 - 3^3 = 5^3 - (-4)^3

I would like to learn python and currently have access to some good python 2 books. However python 3 is not guaranteed to be backward compatible with python 2. If I were to learn python 2 I have to unlearn and relearn some things when I upgrade to python...

When Python 3 finally gets released the Python 2 code recommend that you keep ....
Python 3 has lots of nice features, but it will still be a while before it will overtake Python and idioms will be the same with Python 2 and 3.

That being said, it's much older technology, the tools aren't .
Id Tech 3 will give you C++ access.
With UDK, you have script-level access.
UDK, id Tech 3, and Unity are all vastly different tools.
