Happy Monday!
I was wondering how many of you have started looking at daycares? I have heard varying opinions, but it seems a lot of people believe you needed to start looking yesterday :) to make sure you get a spot on the waiting list. I was just curious...

My DD is will be closer to 4 when the new baby arrives. She has been at her current daycare since she was 15 months and loves it. All the teachers know her and she knows them and I feel completely comfortable with the place. Plus, she will be starting...

I go back to work in 3.
Mine does 10% off the cheaper child's tution.
I don't do it, but one of my coworkers already have a child in the center .
She starts K in the Fall, so it's one year.
But it works out okay.

We got a survey from our daycare last week. Its the first time I've gotten a survey from them in the 3 years we've been there. I'm pleased to see it, but am curious whether this is something other daycares do too - it seems like they should do this regularly...

We are going to be relocating to the Willoughby area of Langley in February. We have a 3 1/2 year old son. Does anyone know of any good group daycares in that area? Thanks!

I went on 4 tours of CEFA before we like about CEFA and getting the $200 off per month made it even more affordable than other daycares.
If the places are good they are full with waiting lists of over a year.

Hi all,

I know it's early, but I was just curious as this is my first. When do you typically start looking at daycares? I will have to go back to work 3 months after the baby is here.

I would start to do some research about daycares you might like to a specific group of people (for example, here the Stanford campus daycares open only to Stanford students and faculty have a 1-2 year....

I'm just curious how much daycares run in your area if you don't mind sharing.
Here in Oklahoma City I'm going to be paying $195/week. He gets cheaper as he gets older obviously but I think I'm going to enroll him in a private school once he's a year ...

We have for the 2 kids at the center.
Was a year old and a couple hundred cheaper before I enroll him in fancy pants daycare.

We are currently on the waiting list at the 3 daycare centers in our town. We liked all of them and they are all pretty much the same price. The sucky part is that all of them told us that more than likely they won't have openings for infants when we ...

Does your state have a website that lists all licensed daycares? That's where I started and I had a list of about 25 in our area that was narrowed down to about 7 that actually had availability....
Home daycares are like the one that you saw today.

I am from Ohio. I have called several home daycares. Last year before getting pregnant I called one to get an idea of price so we could start a budget. The first 4-5 people I talked to said they charge around 125 a week for 50 hours for infant. I live...
