Speaking of this...it might not be a bad idea to build a metal cage around your outside AC unit days after all the inspections, somebody stole the whole unit right off the concrete pad it sat this thread is.

Which Uses More Electricity----Air Conditioners or Several Fans? My husband thinks an portable air conditioner would be more cost effective, than using 4 fans, in our living room. (We don't have central air.)

Seems like HVAC questions are hot this month so I figured I would throw another one into the mix!

12 years ago I installed a 4 ton unit (2 mode condensing unit - 2 condensing unit.
Balance is the key.
Cooling is not.
