I am in a position where i will no longer have wired access for my desktop PC and so i will need to go wireless, Is it possible to use the Xbox 360 wireless adapter on my computer instead of spending the money to buy one?

Wired its cheaper by 20 bucks in america over a wireless controller with adapter in america over a wireless controller with adapter and is easier to setup you just have to plug it in also.

Just picked up up a 360 Slim from here so am moving on my Elite. It is fully boxed with all standard accessories - power brick, controller, headset (unused).
It is in excellent condition with the odd surface scratch - could probably get away without mentioning...
