What are some software packages available to provide 90% of the avatar functionality for my games? My favorite is xbox's Avatar system (but I want it in my PC games).
I need the ability to customize the looks of a person (body, clothes, etc...).

XNA Avatar....
It's already been submitted it will be available.
The game using it must carry an E on the XNA platform, but the avatar functionality isn't available yet.
An avatar API, but it's use is restricted from what I understand.

When Microsoft Live introduced avatars with the NXE a lot of people probably thought of Nintendo Mii's. But actually Rare did such a good job with the avatars that we were clammering for new clothes and items. Microsoft then brought the avatar marketplace...

This is not what the avatar is for.
He looks like a little boy! Second Life already exists as a game and many like it .
I also want to give my avatar some muscles and tattoo's.
I don't see it happening.

I'd expect the Guardians Formal, Mikunas Set, and all the more popular outfits... .
Also, its very late in the game for something like that to even male and female avatar items, I'd be happy to buy outfits and props.

There are licenses for bought content.....
You should be able to do that if you contactYou cannot transfer avatar clothing or any other DLC from one account to another.
Was purchased on that 360, but not avatar clothes.

Though it's not the one I was hoping for (last.fm & facebook) I must say I am already enjoying some of the new features.
The netflix update is great, but I still wish they would allow you to enter in what you are searching for. Being able to play a game...

I do agree they are overpriced but you gotta love the cog armour you get to buy .
